I was looking into converting some of my old black and white pictures into color. On the internet, I found the web site below. Have you come across similar or other software which can convert B&W into color pictures? Please let me know if you have any experience in this kind of “transformation”.

Try looking at http://www.recolored.com and trying out their product which has a free trial.

I would certainly suggest the free trial download. The results are not always “as advertised”. I (vaguely) recall a tutorial on using Adobe Photoshop to colorize black & white images, I think it really needs a “hands-on” approach. Here is a sample procedure:

There’s a very good free photo editing program with a lot of Photoshop features. Try it out and let me know what you think. It’s Paint.net.

It’s a marvelous, free program. In fact it’s quite similar to Paint Shop Pro. I have been teaching it to myself to help others on the Scrapbook Site I belong to. It really is great!! Actually, it’s an upgraded version of what used to be Microsoft’s Paint.
Download and be pleasantly surprised. I have made a complete scrapbook page in the software. It also has a lot of Beta plugins that can be downloaded for it. But be a little cautious as they are beta types, but many have been reviewed and you can read about those reviews in their forum.

Sorry I don’t know of any programs to convert black and white photos to color. I didn’t even know you could convert them. It doesn’t exactly make any sense to me.
This something I am just going to have to try before believing it really works.
